Sachika Ito -EN
She was born in Japan. She studied in conservatorio "Giuseppe Nicolini” of Piacenza
(Italy) and graduates in "Lyric Singing" and "Vocal Chamber Music”, both with
honours graduate.
She won the 3 prize of the Contest for Young Singers in Foggia and the 2 prize of the
Contest "G.Poggi" in Piacenza, 2006. In 2012 she obtains the prize for the best singer
chosen by the public in the "Contest New Voices Seville".
Thanks to her impressive vocal and scenic skills, she was immediately entrusted with
diûcult roles such as Oscar in Un ballo in maschera by G. Verdi, Rosina in Il barbiere
di Siviglia by G. Rossini, Norina in Don Pasquale by G. Donizetti and Musetta in La
Bohème by G. Puccini. She immediately enjoys both public and critic esteem.
In 2010 she was accepted as an eûective student at the “Accademia Rossiniana” of
the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro. On this occasion the Mº Alberto Zedda
appreciates her conditions entrusting her in the role of the Countess of Folleville in Il
Viaggio a Reims. It is significant her debut in Asia in the roles of Nella in Gianni Schicchi of G.Puccini
and Nedda in Pagliacci of R.Leoncavallo in the Esplanade theatre in Singapore in
2015. The opera roles debuted so far are more than 40.
From 2014 onwards she will intensify her activity in the field of modern and contemporary music collaborating with diûerent ensembles
specialized in this repertoire such as Oenm and NAMES of Salzburg, Zahir Ensemble of Seville and Ensemble Musikfabrik of Cologne, thus
having the opportunity to debut compositions of the great masters of the last century such as Webern, Ravel, Pärt, Stravinsky, Romitelli, Berio,
Takemitsu, Halfter, Glass and others. In these contexts she also works with world premieres, for example playing the role of the protagonist in
Judith, tu n'avanceras! by Bardia Charaf at the Teatro Central of Seville, 2017. In the same year she also takes the lead parts in Stephan
Winkler's Schweres Tragend and Wen Liu's Painted Love at the Szene during the Taschenopernfestival (Pocket Opera Festival) in Salzburg a
program that will be repeated in 2018 with the prestigious Ensemble Musikfabrik conducted by MºClement Power and again in 2019 at the
NOW! festival in Essen and at the Musikfabrik im WDR in Cologne conducted by MºBas Wiegers. In 2019 he returns to Salzburg with another
premiere, Pray, chuck, as hither and Artefactos #2 by Sara Glojnari.
2021 she returned again to the Salzburg Taschenopernfestival and starred in Undine - die Abwesende by Zeynep Gedizlioglu and Undine geht!
by Iris ter Schiphorst under the direction of MºPeter Rundel. In the 2023 edition of the Salzburg Festival he will perform the world premiere of
the opera Oliveros' Schafe by Belarusian composer Oxana Omelchuk.
She frequently performs with the duo ‘D'Ito’ with guitarist Davide Sciacca. Their intense concert activity has seen them perform in Japan,
Spain, Slovenia and Italy. The two EPs they have already produced will be followed by ‘Hic et Nunc’, a disc that ranges between opera and
contemporary music. She also collaborate with the Cuarteto de Guitarras de Andalucia participating in prestigious guitar festivals such as
Festival de Guitarra de Córdoba.
